Strawberry Sweethearts; Sustainable Elopement Inspiration

Kara Mia Events and MKM Photography found their inspiration by considering what was seasonal at this time of year (we held this shoot in April 2022). "I always think of strawberries in springtime! Since strawberries go hand-in-hand with pink and red, the colors of romance, we decided to keep things romantic, and collecting a few vintage details sent us that direction!" -Kate, MKM Photography
Bold red lips were a must for this shoot, and Lovestruck Beauty delivered with a bold yet clean and classic style for the bridal model's hair and makeup!
Like all the gowns from Beautiful & Borrowed Bridal, this one was previously worn is currently being rented out for styled shoots and weddings. Beautiful & Borrowed carries a range of sizes and allows for reversible alterations!

Maria kept things simple with her floral decor and had a bouquet made for the bridal model. Event Flouret sourced locally grown NC flowers from Piedmont Wholesale.

The vintage place settings and candlestick holders Maria borrowed from Southern Vintage Table further played up the vibrant red of this shoot, and it all popped nicely on the crisp white linen from American Party Rentals! We also love the added touch of books under the centerpiece arrangement. Books are an inexpensive and reusable way to make decor personal!
There are so many natural ceremony backdrops at Old Lystra Inn, and we love that they chose to highlight the bamboo grove for this shoot. Reverend Katherine Dupree creates custom ceremonies, and even coordinated their outfit for this shoot with a stylish pink suit!
